Boogie the day away to the rhythm of steelpan music at Suma Seaside Park, where the largest Trinidadian instrument competition in Western Japan is held at the special stage beside the clock tower.
Come and listen to the music made by the fascinating steelpans, percussion instruments made from drum aluminium, during the largest in West Japan steelpan event "KOBE STEELPAN CARNIVAL". The event started by the victims of Great Hanshin earthquake in Shin-Nagata 17 years ago as a small happening with a goal of showing the signal of ongoing restoration as well appreciation for the gained support and spreading the new culture. Today is one of the biggest music events in West Japan. Come and enjoy summer's reverberations and steelpan's tones with us, when we will gather the steel orchestra from across Japan and make Sumakaigan full of playful music!
