The SteelPan Tuners Guild of Trinidad & Tobago is inviting all tuner members to attend a Round Table Seminar.
The discussion is themed “Blending A Steel Orchestra”.
This takes place on Saturday 29 November 2014, at the Curepe Scherzando Pan Theatre, 1 Evans Street, Curepe, from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm.
Items open for discussion are: “Functional Role of Individual Instruments, Instrument Groupings Within the Steel Orchestra, Blending A Steel Orchestra – Different Approaches and Other Related Issues”
The latter item will look at techniques and experiences, working with another tuner’s instruments, and blending instruments working well together musically.
Mr. Lenny Lera and Mr. Denzil Fernandes are the facilitators.
The SteelPan Tuners Guild of Trinidad & Tobago is headed by Fitzroy Henry with Anthony Duncan as Interim Secretary.
