In a previous publication the PAN PATRIOTS made it clear that we would resist any attempt to sell out and give away our indigenous art form to the highest bidder and that we would never surrender our autonomy to any group or institution, but would stand at the gates of Pan Trinbago and uphold our right to self- determination and guard the independence of our organization for the present and future generations of steelband men and women everywhere.
SIGN AWAY PAN TRINBAGO RIGHTS
All pannist in Trinidad and Tobago by now are aware that the outgoing President has signed over the rights of Pan Trinbago to independently manage the National Panorama Competition to the National Carnival Commission (NCC). Breaking news coming to the attention of PAN PATRIOTS is that at this very moment, short, medium and long term plans are well underway to turn the NATIONAL PANORAMA COMPETITION upside down and throw the future of the SINGLE PAN, SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZE BANDS into chaos and confusion.
CONSPIRACY TO DISMANTLE SMALL AND MEDIUM BANDS
IT IS ALLEGED that discussions are currently taking place between certain influential forces in the steelband community and the NCC to totally dismantle the SMALL AND MEDIUM BAND CATEGORY and establish ONE CATEGORY with SMALL, MEDIUM AND LARGE BANDS competing against each other for PANORAMA PRIZE MONEY. THE PLAN IS TO PUT THIS ARRANGEMENT IN PLACE BY 2020 CARNIVAL.
SINGLE PAN BANDS IN DANGER
IT IS ALSO ALLEGED that part of the giant conspiracy involves removing the SINGLE PAN BANDS from the NATIONAL PANORAMA and put them on the road to compete for audiences with the ANNUAL TUCO KAISO MONARCH SEMI-FINALS IN SKINNER PARK.
NO WIDESPREAD DISCUSSIONS
It is instructive that these discussions have been taking place behind closed doors without any knowledge of the CENTRAL EXECUTIVE of PAN TRIBAGO. The organizers of these schemes have taken the opportunity to push their selfish agenda against the background of the ongoing conflict in the PAN TRINBAGO organization. Do not rule out the possibility that the internal conflict is being fueled by the schemers in order to propagate their own selfish interest.
IMPORTANCE OF UP-COMING PAN TRINBAGO ELECTIONS
Brothers and Sisters in the steelpan community and in particular delegates of member steelbands eligible to vote in the Pan Trinbago Elections, the PAN PATRIOTS wishes to sound a warning over the importance of the outcome of these elections. It is critical that the membership elect a Central Executive that will seek the best interest of Pan Trinbago and not the narrow self-serving interest of the few over the many. The PAN PATRIOTS are committed to upholding the independence of the PAN TRINBAGO organization. The PAN PATRIOTS are committed to pursuing the successful outcome of the High Court matter between PAN TRINBAGO and the NCC. The PAN PATRIOTS are committed to negotiating for the full settlement owed to member steelbands for the 2018 Steelband Panorama. The PAN PATRIOTS TEAM include persons with the institutional memory of all of these matters and are well placed to successfully represent member bands on these issues.

But unless people start SCREAMING REAL LOUD (yuh hear meh, BEVERLEY) -- THESE GANGSTAS may very well RETAIN POWER!!!
We don't need any party group running PT either. Since the ancestors have ruled out Amar and Duprey, the only viable alternative is Keith Byer, Aquil Arrindell, Fuad Abu Bakr and their team.
Just hope they (whomever) could get the damn thing running.......the RIGHT way......and dais the hardest thing to do in T&T.
