Classical Steel Has Been Rescheduled

This documentary was warmly received at its first screening at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival. The second screening has been rescheduled to Friday 30th September at 12 noon; at The Little Carib Theatre.

This documentary film looks at the steelband in the role of symphony orchestra, and explores the global spread of the steelband movement and the acceptance of the steelpan as a legitimate musical instrument. The film is driven by the viewpoints of Ray Holman, Anne Fridal, Desmond Waithe, Junior Pouchet, Dr. Jeannine Remy, Edward Cumberbatch, Anthony Williams, Merle Albino de Coteau, Pelham Goddard, Dr. Kim Johnson, Liam Teague, Patrick Arnold and the late Dr. Pat Bishop.
