  • It's what we've been trying to say for years , Cecil . There's really nothing more to add.

    • If we don't talk about the actions of The Ruling Governing Body they tend to think that no one is seeing what they are doing, when we  have them front-line in the forum they feel pan people's eye on them, not that they have any conscience, just the knowledge of being watched makes a difference.

      • Cecil,

Forensic auditing is lucrative business, combined with the Legal industry; do you really believe being WATCHED is going to change anything? By the time the decision is made, who’s awarded the contract and the legal process is cleared, whichever comes first, you might as well accept the fact as Claude quoted the PT man saying “DIS IS TRINIDAD” or take the view, there’s going to be a groundswell of opposition among the members to replace the present administration. There’s an old saying…"he, who has the GOLD makes the rules". Time for some ACTIVISM...

        • Here's an interesting quote from the Culture minister...the rule may not apply to all groups.

Douglas: New funding policy for national festivals

          Published on Jul 26, 2012,

"Douglas said the policy would look at the size of an organization, the event, the accountability that is put in place as well as auditing processes.

"As an administration we cannot go on just distributing money without accountability, without some value in terms of advancing the cultural policy of the nation," he said".

          • While the Minister can demand certain causes of action be taken because this is tax payers money, Is he really in a position to take any action against the operations of the Executive of PT Inc.

It is alleged that in 2013 the Minister.of Culture  visited the office of keith Diaz with "Hat in hand" begging for a letter to take to Parliament for him to accompany a contingent from Trinidad who were going to Nigeria. This is not propaganda, this is good talk. Because, he really did go to Africa with the steelband contingent. so, who will guard the Guards?

            • Mr Cooper, the way Trini politics looking, like the Minister days are numbered.

What I will like to see is for the authorities to have a look at the personal finances of the executive of Pan Trinbago.

              • We of the New Visionaries would like that also, we are praying and asking for that to happen.

                • Mr. Cooper: In Trinidad BOBOL is a VIRTUE. So dem prayers eh go work!

  • Firensic Audit. Case closed.

    • Nice WORD PLAY (FIRE-NSIC AUDIT) Miss Lilian!!!

Why do you think, as you also suggested, that businessmen should take charge of Pan Trinbago?

Because the present executive of Pan Trinbago has no vision. This thing should be run as a business...First of all, I think an audit should be carried out on Pan Trinbago. Because nobody knows what they're doing with the money they've been making. And they make good money...The last time their office was on Edward Street and there was supposed to be an audit, the office burned down.
