It is time for a Revolution at the World Governing Body for Pan, Pan Trinbago Inc. The revolution DOES NOT involve violence or weapons, but one that brings about change of thought and attitude regarding the role of elected executive members when it comes to community spirit, ethnicity and greed whilst holding high office.

When we survey our pan landscape, there is no longer any evident sense of community at 14 - 17 Park Street headquarters of Pan Trinbago. It used to be said that it took a village to to raise a child. Yet, our elected leaders are now strangers to the delegate stakeholders, staff, players, seasonal workers and the President and his crew have forgotten God's injunction to love our neighbours.

Pan executives obsession with getting their hands on their legally mandated 10% Government (taxpayers) funding for Panorama and focus on material acquisitions have turned this particular executive administration into a selfish and self-centered leadership. It's now all about the "we, the executive" instead of focusing on 'us.'

There is a need for a revolution of our priorities and relations. We, the delegate membership need to respect each other and foster a sense of community, We, the delegate membership need to be our brother and sister's keepers.

Too many executive members have become complacent of the pan societal roles and are contented with their ill-gotten riches and perks. Their only concerns were tending to their own affairs rather than making an effort to effect real change in pan movement in Trinidad and Tobago, in and out of the Panorama, and by extension the wider Carnival season.

Those will skills and talents are needed to share in the REVOLUTION to share their abilities to benefit everyone, as the esteemed PRO Michael "Scobie"Joseph opines, despite ethnic differences.

In this society of our local grassroots pan fraternity, our pan executive leaders approach to ethnicity, as opined by PRO Michael "Scobie' Joseph in the 2nd edition of his Madman's Rant, have been a yoke around our collective necks. The Diaz Administration members view each other and delegates with suspicion and actions, whether executive or personal, are often reviewed, not on a merit basis but under the dangerous test of "us against them." In doing so, we fail to recognize that we are all fashioned after God and made in his likeness.

As NCC moves to formalize its Board with their instruments of appointment by week's end and decides on what will be Pan Trinbago's role as a Special Interest Group for the 2018 Carnival, with a reconvened AGM being held November 30th 2017,. I Respectfully submit that the winds of change are about to blow this way....with gale force speed...Much more facts to come.....Thank you for the courtesy of your attention.

Respectfully yours in service in Pan

Yours in Pan
