Let us rally around Photo’s cabal to fight the evil Diaz as he signs over PT to NCC. Yeah Right!

The pan movement has become dependent on information coming out of the CIP camp. They also look forward to the CIP’s point of view on the scenarios that play out in the now circus-typeof leadership of Pan Trinbago, where clowns, magicians and story tellers are the stars of the show. With that being said, let me assure all band leaders that the CIP takes its responsibility to you seriously and the views and opinions coming from the CIP are what we believe are in the best interest of the organization. The CIP said from the beginning and continues to say ‘THE ENTIRE EXECUTIVE MUST GO’, this is inclusive of Mr. Diaz.
There is a phrase that the Photo faction doesn’t want to hear at all. It is an action that they took against a group of people and an individual in the past. The group being The New Visionaries and the individual being Mr. Bryan Serette. They both were made persona non grataand in both cases, their crime was taking the organization’s business into the public domain. They both had serious concerns about the financial improprieties of the organization and sought to raise an alarm outside the cult culture of Pan Trinbago’s leadership. As a consequence, they were debarred from taking part in all Pan Trinbago activities. Band leaders, take a mental note.
The CIP took the fight to the executive about 2 years ago. At that time, it was taboo to talk against the executive. Thanks to the courage of the CIP members, who faced threats against their personal safety; their bands being victimized; court matters brought against them etc. Pan Trinbago’s members are now writing, talking, posting, hosting radio programmes etc., against the executive as they now feel safe to do so. Also those persons who have political ambitions are using this safe time to talk out against the executive and promote themselves as viable options to be elected into office. The CIP however, would remind the membership that the executive stuck together, held each others hands and weathered CIP’s storm of fury, for the most part, for that two years. Their hope was to stay in the president’s grace, despite all the wrong they are now saying he did, because of two reasons:
- The CIP suspects, the majority of executive were holding secret contracts which the president must sign for continuation. The one that we know of thus far is the External Relations Officer, who got two separate monthly-paid contracts that we know of, according to the lawyer letter he sent to two of CIP’s members. The question is, who else on the executive collected other monthly contracts and other contracts related to Pan Trinbago’s business.
- They hoped to the keep the executive from collapsing, as three executive officers including the vice president, already resigned. The executive at that time could not have afforded to lose the president so long before the election.
Conveniently, Photo’s cabal has only now realized that what the CIP was saying about the president was factual so they now seek to separate themselves from the president’s wrong doings. Photo’s faction now are clasping their hands and pretending that they are holier than thou, whilst pointing fingers at the president. The president, who politically out-foxed them and their advisors when he came to the membership, confessed his sins and asked for forgiveness. Then Photo’s faction stupidly took the membership to court, allegedly with the membership’s money, and now, in a few weeks, would be passing by your pan yard asking the very same membership for their votes. I hope they take note of last week’s episode with Minister Hinds.
The CIP knows that Photo’s faction is going to use the NCC’s agreement as the rallying call for unity against Diaz, which they are hoping will be the catalyst to victory at this upcoming election. They are hoping that members forget:
- They betrayed the membership at the 2016 AGM. By not carrying out the mandate against the NCC of no panorama unless they paid all moneys owed to the organization.
- Betrayal against NCC, after borrowing money from NCC which was supposed to be paid back from Panorama 2017 gate receipts. However, when NCC attempted to do so, PT took them to court and won.
- Betrayal against NCC again, where it is reported that NCC did as the court ordered and gave PT a cheque which the executive agreed would be given back to NCC because of PT’s debt to NCC.
- Because of these betrayals, we are now in the position that if NCC has to bail us out financially, we have to sing something because when your word aint worth sh*t, crappo smoke your pipe.
The CIP has mixed feelings about the NCC document. Most of us think that it is disrespectful to;
- sign any document which would affect steel bands for the next three years without consultation with the bands.
- hear about the NCC’s signed agreement over social media.
- know not what the content of the document is after it has been signed two weeks ago.
- not give the membership the opportunity to read the document before the next meeting.
- have any executive members to read the document for us at the meeting, as they consistently add and take away information to convince us if it is good or bad according to who is presenting at the time.
Don’t be fooled my brothers and sisters. They have all milked the PT cow and now are refusing to let go of the nipples. Their fight is not about your best interests, it is about getting more secret contracts paid with our money. Stay focused my brothers and sisters because the circus show continues and whist you are being entertained and distracted, the magicians are making your money disappear. We want them all out now!

The interest in the affairs of Pan Trinbago has waned considerably. Is it that writers have been threatened, or is it that arthritic conditions have attacked aging fingers? Nobody writing nothing no more (excuse the doubles), no one seems to care anymore, where is everybody? Election time coming and the noise of clashing clouds is deafening.
PT1 opposes PT2, and everybody opposes both. Who is everybody? Where is everybody? Cyar wait to see the slates, cyar wait to see the candidates with gloves on, not to fight, but to hide fingerprints.
Evetybody like they gorn and leave Claude, boy?
But wait nah!!! I thought that THE DOLLY and GYPSY put accountability systems in place to prevent further THEFT in PAN TRINBAGO. At least that is what GYPSY said. And that contradicts what DOLLY earlier said: PAN TRINBAGO is an independent entity with TOTAL jurisdiction over how it spends the money handed over by the GOVERNMENT.
(It is only seven o' clock out here so it way too early to smoke some california sensimilla and drink some NAPA VALLEY wine to get my brain in gear to solve all these contradictions -- but this is a crucial week so I have to get proper perspective even without the drugs.)
So now Aquil saying that the FORTEAU CABAL is going to give new sweetheart secret contracts out again as the circus of corruption continues.
Ah wish Afro-Trini PAN LOVERS could wake up one day and recognize PAN TRINBAGO for what it really is and also what it really could be WITH APOLITICAL LEADERSHIP.
And that HINDS EXAMPLE was a bad one, Aquil. Because two days later dem BEETHAM PEOPLE kissing HINDS feet again and apologizing because the last thing they want is for the PNM GIMME GIMME HANDOUTS to stop -- just like PAN TRINBAGO!!!
