  • Talking about steel band music. I was just looking at http://www.livestream.com/wackfmtv's live stream, and they replayed the new years celebration in T&T. I only caught the last two minutes, but it was a peformance with a steel band (every pan instrument represented) along with what appeared to be a rock group. The music was slamming. The combination was fantastic and the instruments complimenting each other. The crowd was going wild. Now if this could be repeated and be made a regular as opposed to being a special event, then I truly believe that the steel pan will become and be accepted in main stream music. The question remains, where is the will, the foresight, and the dedication to make this a reality? Happy new year everyone.
