Mr. Diaz failed in his attempt to “chain up” band leaders; North Zone rejected him.

Mr Diaz attempted to discredit the rest of the executive during a Northern Region meeting, on Thursday 15th March, 2018. The meeting was held at the northern region’s office with the agenda: Panorama Post Mortem. Mr. Diaz was carded to “Perform” and so he did but not to an appreciative audience.
As far as it was reported, during the discussion on Panorama, Mr Diaz, as expected, arrived at the meeting. Mr. Douglas Williams, who was one of the members, along with Mrs Ramsey Moore, who kept warning the steel pan fraternity that Mr. Diaz and his executive would crash our organization, got up and walked out the meeting. Mr. Diaz proceeded to sit at the head table. He then realized that he sat directly in front of the ex vice president, Mr. Bryan Serette. It was reported that the discomfort was visible from the facial expression and body language of president Diaz. This discomfort, most likely threw off his “performance” but being a veteran actor, he sucked it up, and went for the Grammy.
It was said that Mr Diaz made his address to the floor (membership), most of which was just babbling; bad talking the rest of the executive, and the recent coup that happened in the office. However, among his mix ups, misinformation, innuendos, half truths and lies, the floor took him to task with one topic. He insinuated that the rest of the executive were the ones who suggested a reduction of panorama prize money because they can’t pay what they promised. Before Mr. Marcano, from Renegades, the large band winner’s manager, addressed that topic, Mr. Travis Mulraine’s contribution, from Tokyo steel orchestra, brought everything into perspective. He asked, why do you Mr Diaz, expect us to entertain anything you have to say, when at the Annual General Meeting (A.G.M.) you did not entertain us. He continued by reminding Mr. Diaz that the same membership he rejected; with the same motion of no confidence against this executive at the AGM; is the same membership he was now running to for sympathy; and complaining to us about the disgusting behaviour of that same executive. Mr. Marcano then told Mr. Diaz that the executive is one body and that he is the head. To blame the others for any executive decision is unacceptable. Mr. Marcano made it clear that we are not accepting any pay cut. The executive failed to meet with the conventional steel band before the panorama. As a consequence, the conventional bands did not have an opportunity to ratify the rules and the prizes structure. Mr. Diaz and his executive told bands to enter the panorama and the prize money would remain the same. Mr Marcano’s bands are owed by Pan Trinbago for Junior Panorama 2016, International Panorama and now National Panorama 2018. To add insult to injury, D. Shepherd collected, according to the president, $90,000.00 and it is now alleged that Mr. Diaz and his two advisors collected huge sums of money. Mrs Andrews-Burmant, Renegades captain, finished Mr Diaz by telling him he could not use this meeting to discredit the names of the rest of the executive simply because they were not present. He has to wait until the 27th.
Mr. Diaz, I am guessing that your plan to discredit people in their absence is no longer effective. We do hope that the rest of the executive make themselves available on the 27th of March to answer to the membership. The C.I.P members are anticipating that you will be rejected in all the zones including the south zone, your strong hold. Rumour has it, that the southern chairman is supporting Mr. Photo and his gang members. So Mr. Diaz, you do not even have the south on your side. Mr. Diaz, save your name from going down in history as the worst president in any non profit organization this country has ever seen. Resign, save pan Pan Trinbago from Photo and the forty thieves. On the 27th, do the honourable thing and resign.
