What is your opinion about the Steelband Movement promoting the works of Pan music composers Boogsie, Andy, Ray, Pellham, Robert, Pro. Bradley and any other composer.?

There's a plethora of quality pan music in all genres that has been recorded over the years and is available for those interested in it , by various means , including for free on the internet.
The problem isn't the availability of quality music.
The problems are ADVERTISING and MARKETING !
Steelbands have to find way of promoting their works.
Obviously the current mode of promoting the art-form via the panorama competition isn't working as well as we would hope.
Cecil: The "STEELBAND MOVEMENT" needs to set up a real "NATIONAL STEELBAND ASSOCIATION" with skilled leadership. And then they could organize for the PROMOTION OF PAN MUSIC COMPOSERS and PAN ON THE ROAD FOR CARNIVAL and OTHER SHOWCASES BEYOND PANORAMA and PRODUCING MUSIC FOR GLOBAL MARKETS.
But as long as PAN TRINBAGO is there with the OLD FILL-YOUR-POCKETS LEADERSHIP then the only focus will be PANORAMA.
So what is going to trigger the formation of such an organization? THE BIG 5 came out hot and sweaty and CRASHED like a meteor in the ARIZONA DESERT in a matter of MONTHS; they got too TOP HEAVY with administration.
