Seventeen members of BP Renegades Steel Orchestra were among hundreds of travellers evacuated from Charles De Gaulle International Airport in Paris, France, on Monday when security personal ordered an evacuation following a possible bomb threat.
The precaution became necessary after airport personnel observed a green suitcase lying unattended inside terminal 2A of the transport facility.
The Renegades steelpan ambassadors were at the American Airlines check-in counter when it was announced that an evacuation was in progress and following check-in they should progress in an easterly direction as the area west of them was closed.
Moments later the American Airlines check-in counter was closed and local entertainers rushed to a safer distance.
Police and army officers on location were alerted and cordoned an area of terminal 2A, while bomb squad specialists were called in to access the situation and remove the parcel.
The security operation went into effect around 8.30am Paris time (3.30 local time) after repeated calls for the passenger of the item of luggage to attend to it, went unanswered.

BP may be dragging pan in to Brexit propaganda with those in Europe.
Are Renegades really that naïve that they think someone isn’t pulling strings with their own agenda?
Summer is the only time our steel orchestras should be doing the rounds in foreign lands. In close attendance with the TT tourist entourage. Representing the culture. And I might add these trips should only be agreed to if there is a degree of media representation. Now that’s not beyond the capabilities of BP.
It may be that this was planned long before June 23rd last year, but I'm very suspicious.

I guess they heard the Renegades were travelling so right away airport security has to be called in.
No Muslims or Renegades allowed on flights now.
