Trinidadian Teneisha Campbell has had leading roles in other movies, but a cameo appearance as a border tribeswoman in a fight scene between Black Panther and M'Buku has turned out to be the most exciting moment of her career.

Born and raised in Harpe Place, Observatory Street, Port of Spain (scene of the protest on Monday morning) and now based in Texas. Teneisha, who has leading roles in three other films, says all she wants to do is inspire the youths.

So how did she land a role in Black Panther?

"I sent my headshots to Sara Finn Casting and Tammy Smith Casting. I waited for a while and did not hear back from Sara Finn, so I heard about an Open Call in Atlanta. I live in Texas, so I flew to Atlanta for the open call."

"I waited another two months before I got the call to be a part of the Border Tribe. I play a Border Tribewoman and I was featured in the Warrior fight scene between M’Baku and Black Panther."

Although, she worked with Winston Duke for two and a half weeks on set, Teneisha said she did not know he was from Trinidad and Tobago.

However, she said "I spoke with Letecia Wright of Guyana. I actually can be seen standing right behind her in the movie shouting T’Challa during the fight scene at Warrior Falls."

"We were not allowed to take pictures on set with our personal cameras, I am hoping more photos will be released from Marvel with us on set."

"I grew up in Harpe Place off Observatory St. in Port-of-Spain. I attended St. Roses Primary School and Belmont Junior Secondary School. I also was an athlete in track and field, played in BP Renegades last two championships to win the hat trick in 1996 & 1997 where I was the youngest player and made the newspapers as the woman on the bass."

"I left Trinidad in 1997 and Renegades just won after 21yrs," she said.

"I auditioned for the miss Trinidad and Tobago pageant and was told that I do not sound like a Trinidadian and asked if I had a Trinidadian passport. I always wanted to inspire the youth of my country, so this is perfect timing."
