Sioux City, IA (ABC9 News) - Sioux City welcomed University of Iowa's PanAmerican Steel Band Sunday at Western Iowa Tech. PanAmerican Steel is an all percussion band mostly made up of, you guessed it, steel drums. Students in PanAmerican steel range from under grads all the way to doctorate students. When asked about Sunday's performance they say that they enjoyed the opportunity.

"Ah we just enjoy being here, we enjoy playing music together and thanks for having us out here." Said Dr. Dan Moore, the Director for PanAmerican Steel Band.

After the performance, audience members were given the opportunity to play the drums and speak with band members, the group plans on making a return trip next year.
