  • I wish to extend sympathy and condolences to the King family. I knew Mikey for more than twenty five years as he was a member of the Trinidad & Tobago Steel band of Washington DC as a player and captain. He displayed tremendous tenacity and diligence in running the steel band operations which certainly was a strenuous function and responsibility to harness. Mikey took this task on with great pride and was very positive. Always jovial and positive with his various challenges in life. He was a true pan man. Coming from the old school of pan, "West Side Symphony" Mikey carried his flag and colors with true pride of a pan man. He indeed was proud to be Trini 2De Bone. He was a real Pan man. Rest in Peace, my friend, MIkey, you are tired, so now take it easy.Rest.
