Steelband Classic Performance - Sonatas at Panorama 2001

In 2001 the New York Steelband music community made history as the major franchises came together and staged their own panorama competition. The event is considered one of the greatest achievements in the North American steelband music movement. That competition delivered a number of classic performances and arrangements. The New York Times reported that over 20,000 people attended the event. In this Pan Classic moment, featured are Sonatas Steel Orchestra with over 125 players performing “Rain Melody” as arranged by Earl Brooks.
