Saddening, Maddening and Frightening, is the only way to describe the despicable behavior of a few regional officers and members of Pan Trinbago Inc. TC, who had gathered at the Communication Workers Union hall at the behest of the President Keith Diaz, on the evening of Thursday 17th May, 2018 to hold an illegal Special Convention to tinker with the Constitution of the Organization.
Arising out of a pending court matter, Attorney for the Executive Mr. Farid Scoon went to serve on Keith Diaz, an injunction granted by Madam Justice Joan Charles, advising that the meeting was illegal. Mr. Scoon came under attack and was subjected to physical assault by an unruly mob to the extent of having beer thrown on him. Mr. Scoon is a practicing Muslim, who is fasting as part of his observance of the month of Ramadan.
The Central Executive of Pan Trinbago is appalled at the attitude displayed by members of our Organization who are allowing themselves to be misled by a desperate and recalcitrant President and a former Assistant Office Manager and Advisor, who has spent most of his time manipulating the operations of Pan Trinbago to his own ends.
On behalf of the entire Steel band fraternity, we expresses our sincere and deepest apologies to Mr. Farid Scoon, his family and the Muslim community, on the disgraceful behavior of some of our members, and do hope that this is not taken by you and the general public as an indication of the development of the pannist in this enlightened day and age.
Can one imagine that these are the qualities / values of persons who see themselves going forward as alternative to the present Executive. The spirit of the ancestors forbid. Long live Pan Trinbago.

This is a VERY DESPERATE news release!!! From quite our here I can feel the fear in the heart and lives of these men that they may ACTUALLY LOSE POWER.
Clearly, it has never been about PAN and PAN PLAYERS but about gaining control of the PAN TRINBAGO DOLLARS to benefit their OWN POCKETS!!!
That is the REAL SHAME. And the others on the OPPOSITE SIDE are just as DESPERATE.
Maybe it is TIME for THE PROFESSIONALS and HIGHLY TALENTED ADMINISTRATORS from within THE PAN MOVEMENT to STEP UP and bring some INTEGRITY to the MOVEMENT.
