We know that the steelband is not going any where but the question is ,what are we going to do with it?
In the 60s Steelbands were plentiful on the road playing mas together with music bands and Carnival was nice. Fast forward to today where we have no band playing music and just one or two steelbands on the road we have a clear picture of where we are.
Today there is a lot of pressure on Pan Trinbago but there is no talk about the NCC, they are the people that produce carnival, over the years it has gone from bad to worse and no one saying anything.
With all of Carnival broken down hopefully the powers that be will look at the time when it was most successful and realize what a tremendous contribution the Steelband made.
