Pan tuner and long-time apprentice to Ellie Mannette, Billy Sheeder, will be at the D’Radoes panyard (8039 Chase St., Brooklyn) from Monday, August 31st to Friday, September 4th doing tunings for the general public. No appointment is necessary - anyone is welcome to bring their pans by for a blending on a first-come, first-serve basis. Billy has 13 years of experience, 8 of which under the tutelage of Ellie Mannette and as a primary tuner at Mannette Steel Drums, Ltd.. He is now freelance working across the US and internationally. Hours will be 11 am to 4 pm each day, and cost for a blending is a special $75 per instrument for the week.
