The Steel Sensation "Pan Mobile" to the rescue!

Basement Recordings and When Steel Talks extend sincere appreciation and thanks to Ian Japsi of Steel Sensation for kindly making his group's van available to the Basement crew and mobilizing the recording team & equipment for three out of four days of Basement's 2014 Pan yard recordings schedule while capturing steel orchestras performing their Panorama selections. This contribution to the New York Steelband community from Steel Sensation’s Ian Japsi was truly in the spirit of “community” and was critical to the success of Basement’s maximizing our efforts within a finite window in time. Again, thank you! For the bands who were not recorded this year, keep in mind that early confirmation secures your recording time slot in the annual Basement Recordings’ Pan yard schedule; so start confirming from NOW, for the 2015 Panorama season. For the others - there simply is not enough time and ‘steam’ in three to four days, the capture the number of bands participating in the Panorama - without a major streamlining in the bands’ collective approach to being recorded. Also - consider even being READY to record in the second to last week of Panorama, and not in the last two days.
