"Congrats to ALL the bands, the players, arrangers, the tuners and all the many, many support persons that keep on keeping on, to make the most magical music show on planet earth happen every year. I only learned about steel pan music late in…"
Michelle, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, for you kind words of encouragement. I sincerely appreciate it; most people see me as a "Ghost", forgetting that I am HUMAN. lol. Anyway, I move forward with "fearless optimism"; that GOOD will overcome EVIL. And, right now...that is the battle we face: GOOD OVER EVIL! Thanks again, my sista. Shem Em Hotep (Peace be to you.)
I noticed that you were unable to find somewhere to stream Panorama tonight. Check out www.carnivaltv.net They streamed soca monarch tonight and it seemed to be working just fine, it was showing exactly what was on my TV (actually same feed). So cheer up and get ready for the big show!!!
Hi Glenroy, I tend to agree with your sentiment as it pertains to Reggae when being played by a steel band,it seems to me that the feel and the vibration is difficult to appreciate however if it is being played by a quartet which comprises of say tenor, double seconds ,acoustic guitar and traps, vocals singer ect seems the experience is more pleasing to the listening ear in my opinion.
IS IT BECAUSE I AM BLACK WITH NO MILK IN MY COFFEE:::OR IS IT BECAUSE I COME FROM DE PANYARD AND WAS ONLY EATING BREADFRUIT AND MAUBY::AND STOP PLAYING IN BLOCKORAMAS IN TRINI BECAUSE I HAD TO EAT SOME THING MORE THAN THAT::::OR IS IT BECAUSE I AM RASTA AND PLAY THE MUSIC OF JAMAICA WITH 10 BANDS IN VIENNA:::THAT WHEN I PUT ALL THAT KNOW IN A SONG AND PUT IT TO U;;U :SAY TAKE IT OFF;;I AM ONLY TRYING TO PUT ME AND MY TRINI MUSIC OUT THERE IN THE WORLD OF ONLY OTHER MUSIC FROM OTHER LANDS
