Hi Bowie, Many thanks for your tribute to Professor. You just reminded me of my teaching days at Children House School in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The days when we were in constant communication contact as I had introduced the steelpan to my students and fellow staff members at Children's House School School. This was just after FESTAC. You even invited me to judge your steelband competition up North, however, that did not workout.
Later on I returned to Botswana on contract for some nine years from 1999 to 2007 as a lecturer in Moral Education. Here the steelpan was my cutting edge as whenever the West Indies Cricket Team was playing in South Africa or Zimbabwe we provided the rhythm section to cheer up the supporters as well as the team.
