An interview with Mr. Hollister Smith , the leader of San Fernando's unheralded , unsponsored, four time winner (the so-called "beaver trick") of the Panorama Medium Band Competition, the Pan Elders.Anyone interested in , and appreciative of , the practical realities facing a modern unsponsored steelband today , and the obstacles faced in creating and maintaining a successful steelband organization , with limited external assistance ,should check this out.Sometimes we get so focused on issues relating to the competence and integrity of the steelband organization ( and not without cause) we miss (or forget )the big picture.Once again , thank you Mr. Hollis Clifton for your outstanding work supporting our culture.
