The Smith Mountain Lake Parrot Pan Steel Band had the unique opportunity to play Summertime with well known jazz singer Jane L. Powell at Carnivale 2016, Saturday, April 23, 2016, Carnivale 2016 was the second annual benefit for the Franklin County Smith Mountain Lake YMCA and the band played before a packed house.The Parrot Pan Steel Band is the first and one of three steel bands at Smith Mountain Lake Virginia under the direction of Richard "Pan Daddy" Rudolph.
