  • Thank you Bertie! from the people at Panland Trinidad & Tobago Ltd and myself, Bertie was our first advisor in 1993 when we started the business of pan manufactuing as TTIL and critiqued the products built by our in house tuners. He also tuned pans made by TTIL and for a few years after was a close friend and partner in forging a path for our vision of a pan manufacturing industry in Trinidad & Tobago. Together with Franklyn Ollivierra and Lincoln Noel the early foundation was laid from which we built after these significant contributors moved on many years ago and we continue to build today. From this foundation so many of our young tuners  bloomed, many of whom have strongly established themselves in the pan world today and who represent the future of pan making. Bertie's legacy lives on as the major influence in pan tuning and will never be forgotten. Thank you Bertie for your life given to pan. Our condolences to the family and loved ones of Bertie Marshall. From Panland.

  • Condolences to the family of Mr.Bertram Marshall, Bertie as he was fondly known. growing up on 102 old St Joseph rd. to be exact just a short block from the pan yard, afforded me to be there religiously.  Thanks Bertie for all the memories of beautiful music, the bomb competitions  the creation of the double tenor, the high tenor & not forgetting The pan Amplification. he was just a  great pioneer & innovator in the pan world. There will always be a Bertie Marshall Hylanders in my memory,LET EVERY VALLEY BE EXALTED. R.I.P. Mr. Bertram "Bertie" Marshal & Thank You.

  • Greetings First my condolences go out to the Marshall family. But here again we let another great passed on without any assistance from us. I  learned about Maestro ( Alan Gervais) after he had long passed and was not able to help. I tried to get the WST people to make an attempt to help  brother Bertie and all we did was run we mouth with the exception of a few. Maybe Brother Claude was right in his prediction. ( I wanted to proof him wrong so bad!)  We are nothing but "arm chair" better yet, hammock revolutionaries. Guidance and Blessings  Dr. Lance Seunarine

  • Farewell and God speed, Bertie.  Every valley will be exalted
