  • Just some trivia. Mr. RAY HOLMAN accomplished 2 feats at Panorama 2013. The first one: Ray is the only arranger that was also present in 1963.  The other feat cannot be broken until 2020. Can you all state what was his second accoplishment?

  • It is no wonder that Master Ray Holman chose to collaborate with Skiffle.  For the past five years that band has been the most musically creative and innovative, in T&T.  Their players are skilled and execute excellently.

  • I loved this--sure wish I had been there this year to HEAR and SEE it for myself.  The tune was awesome, the arrangement good, and the perfomance was clear and energetic. You all deserved higher.  Don't let the lower judging discourage you--keep your heads high !

  • hey, hey watch the renegades thing, C Kirk , for me who vex cuss, all bands have their flavor, even boogsie, despers sound like despers if u gave me a tape unlabeled I could name a lot of bands by their various signatures, most times, amongst the top five greatest panorama tunes I hear Mystery band makes the listing,if all stars played the same lik they had last year they would have won and I am not allways crazy about their arrangements, renegades I like but I lasted 15 minutes in their yard as a prospective player, "not my kinda band" even though Birch had me break in some of their pans, and I have some friends there, Silver stars is not my cup of tea but for what they do I respect them, curtis I have a tie for second Despers,  Skiffle , renegades, Exodus so far, got to review and rewind some music, I think the judges should score the night and be given tapes to review for a week before giving results, because I change my mind the more I listen

  • I really enjoyed this performance. The music had a drive to it that had me remembering Lord Shorty's "Indrani".

  • Definitely in the first two.

Innovative, new, creative, musical, held my attention throughout. Never lost the melody or theme. No gratuitous chromatics and runs.

At last the judges got wise to Silver Stars. Hopefully they will get wise to All Stars and Renegades also with their same old same old every year.

Well done Skiffle, well done Holman.

  • I really enjoyed the orchestration of this arrangement. I had them second, on my list.
