There are multiple reports that another member of the Pan Trinbago Executive board has resigned in support of the Pan Players movement.
The Trinidad and Tobago National Panorama competition is slated to begin this Wednesday, January 11, 2017. However, in spite of the great global interest in the event - this year's Panorama is in jeopardy because of allegations of financial and managerial misconduct.

Since there are a thousand ministers in small T&T Govt why not make a Minister for Pan since panmen are solely dependent on Govt for assistance and the fact that the NCC will be running all financials matters related to Panorama from now on. We all learn a lesson which is that pan people are not to be trusted with money.
Arthur, The very act of Government giving funds for Panorama which is really a carnival event was wrong. It is not that Pan Trinbago-the present organization came up with the idea. It is not their idea and so it falls under Carnival-The national event to which Government wholly sponsors. The Panorama funds given to Pan Trinbago an NGO was incorrectly given to them from past Governmnets from day one in my opinion. It should have been given to the NCC, and all its previous incarnations like CDC etc. These are not NGO but extentions of Government commitees for the purposes of running the carnival event including Panorama which is simply one such event. Government allowed Pan Trinbago to receive the funds from the NCC which was wrong, and allowed PT to collect gate receipts and also allowed them to stage the "greens party" which raised much money along with persons getting considerable monies from that event. All that was wrong and so it has come to a head of gross mismanagement both by Government and Pan Trinbago. The banks were right in putting a stop to cashing cheques without a written security assurance from the Governmnet itself. Not even from NCC. But if there is the continuace of Pan Trinbago it will have to be completely overhauled in its Charter to allow the organization to raise fund internationally on their own. No financial support should come from the Government directly. The bulk of funds Pan Trinbago collected was from Panorama funds and so the adminstrators made a "mas" with those funds which no other serious funds came to them during the year. So in this way they misused Panorama funds which were solely for the Panorama event. This is why they had no funds to pay pan players right after Panorama each year. The funds went somewhere else. That is the problem. This system must stop now.
That is funny, because it is also alleged that "financial and managerial misconduct" exist in the majority of bands in the land. So what are we saying? Diaz this and Diaz that but WE need to look at weself, because we encouraged the crap. Yes, all ah we, pan people.

Sidd: The blunt truth is that you cannot put PAN MEN to run PAN TRINBAGO. They could be highly educated or illiterate, it makes no difference. They could be EXPAT or LOCAL, worldly or country, once they come from the PAN CULTURE they will fail in any attempts to move the MOVEMENT FORWARD.
Agreed at 100%. I have never suggested that. Being a shareholder is important to all pan players, bands etc. This does not mean they actually run the organization. The shareholders appoint a Board of Directors who will run the company. Those directors should be all qualified in their specific related fields of business management and law. They will have to be paid professional salaries which by dint of their qualifications and experience they deserve.
Claude, the Mayor of San Fernando is Skiffle manager, and Ainsworth Mohammed manager of Exodus was a successful banker so to say once they come from the pan culture they will fail I will have to disagree.
Pan People let’s all get together and call out Mr, Beresford Hunte former manager, leader, and visionary of Tdad All Stars to come out of retirement and take over as interim leader. Mr Hunte farther was one of the first president of pan trinbago so he has complete understanding and has his pulse on the instrument and the players for quite sometime In addition I have no doubt after evaluating what Berry has done with Tdad All Stars over his 20 years as leader, manager he posses the skill to lead pan trinbago through these rough seas I look forward to hearing from regulars on this forum.
