Steelpan music lessons for children are being offered by the organizers of the award-winning CASYM Steel Orchestra.

New York, USA - CASYM Inc. — home of the award-winning steelpan ensemble — is starting up its 2019-2020 steelpan classes for youngsters — designed to spread the sound of music by creating skilled musicians of music.

The sessions will be held in two classes, starting Sept. 27 in Brooklyn at St. Francis of Assisi, 400 Lincoln Road (entrance in church parking lot).

Class #1 will be held Fridays, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Class #2 will take place Fridays from 7:30 p.m. to p.m. and Saturdays, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

CASYM (the Caribbean American Sports and Cultural Youth Movement) Steel Orchestra is a multiple winner of the New York Caribbean Carnival’s Panorama competition.
