A dynamic young violinist who is blazing her own trail in the music industry, Stephanie Matthews is truly a consummate modern-day musician, equally at home on stage as she is in the boardroom or classroom. She has toured and performed internationally, both as a soloist and chamber musician, making appearances at some of the world's most famous concert venues.

Ms. Matthews is also an avid arts advocate, developing and contributing to various educational outreach initiatives for young musicians, both within the United States and abroad. In addition to performing, Stephanie is a highly sought after music contractor, arranger and recording artist. As the Creative Director of StringCandy, Ms. Matthews has written, recorded and contributed to various music, television and film projects. StringCandy recently joined John Legend and Common in performances of "Glory"​, the title track from Ava Duvernay's film, "Selma"​ (2014). She recorded music for Spike Lee's film entitled "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus"​ (2014) and Andrew Renzi's "Franny" (2015) and collaborated with Hans Zimmer and Pharrell Williams on Saturday Night Live and the 2015 Grammy Awards. Her work has also been featured on the American Music Awards, American Idol, Good Morning America, The View, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show with David Letterman, VH1 Storytellers, BET’s Sunday Best, the BET Awards and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She has collaborated with many notable performing and recording artists such as Aretha Franklin, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Dr. Dre, Nas, Frank Ocean, J. Cole, Big Sean, Lupe Fiasco, Jennifer Hudson, PJ Morton, Tye Tribbett, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell, Lalah Hathaway, Jill Scott, Rita Ora, Lana Del Rey, and Bastille.
