Dundas Oorder of Hamilton recipientsOntario, Canada - Commitment to community was recognized during the last of six City of Hamilton 2023 New Year’s Levees hosted by Mayor Andrea Horwath, at Dundas Town Hall Sunday afternoon.
Horwath presented the final three 2022 Order of Hamilton recipients, including Dundasians Cathy Ferreira and Sidney Stacey, and Patricia Smith.
....Ferreira has volunteered her services to several organizations during the past 33 years, after arriving from Trinidad.
She co-founded Hamilton Youth Steel Orchestra in 2004 with Karen Nelson. Horwath said the program has had a significant impact on more than 350 youth.
