Fuad Abu Bakr called for PAN PLAYERS to UNITE!!! Let Gypsy and the rest know NO PANORAMA unless what we need to continue to host the biggest show on earth is available. He went on to explain the social and financial benefits the show brings to the country and stated: “if we have to write that on a piece of paper to try and convince Gypsy, the minister, the prime minister, if they in the position they holding now and don’t know those benefits, then they should not be in office.”

Lorraine Pouchet Without the Pan Players there is no music and there is no Panorama... that is a fact. Apart from the professional ‘contract’ players most players are an integral part of the band they represent. They practice night after night for their love of the instrument and their loyalty to their band. I can’t believe that we are having a discussion about whether they can or should be paid... they have to be paid.

If they are not important enough to the process let the arranger, sponsor, truck man etc go to the Savannah and play the Pan. It is obscene that Pan players may not be paid.... everybody else making money but they are not even being compensated for their time, effort, transportation expenses etc- night after night- to bring joy and pride to us all...Unbelievable!!

Bertel Gittens The issue here is that the players would have been paid if it were not for pilfering/tiefin! And the players themselves stood and allowed tiefin to take place in front of their very eyes! Who vex loss!
