Trinidad and Tobago - Both La Horquetta Pan Groove and Arima Golden Symphony retained their respective pan titles at last evening’s bmobile National Panorama Single Pans and Small Conventional Bands Finals held at the Lord Kitchener Stands, South Quay.

For La Horquetta Pan Groove, it was their fifth consecutive win. Hailing from Arima, the Single Pan band scored 275 points and with it the first prize of $200,000. for their performance of the Duvonne Stewart’s arrangement of “Fire Coming Down”. In second spot was NLCB San Juan East Side Symphony with 270 points while third place went to United Sounds with 268 points.

In the Small Band category, it was indeed smooth sailing for Arima Golden Symphony. Playing a Terrence BJ Marcelle arrangement of De Fosto’s Smooth Sailing, the band amassed 270 points and a cash prize of $400,000. Second place went to Golden Hands with 268.5 while Merrytones placed third with 268 points.

Adjudicators for the Small Band category were Corinne Soo Ping Chow, Ezra Joseph, Hugh Borde, Ian Anthony, Kenrick Noel, and Victor Prescod

  • You've got the wrong Adjudicators for Single Pan. Those are actually the Adjudicators for the Medium Conventional.
