Panorama 2014 Single Pan Preliminaries On Track

Global - Seventy Single Pan Bands in four Regions will face panels of adjudicators when the 2014 National Panorama Single Pan Bands Preliminaries gets underway in two weeks’ time.  This means that sixty-nine bands will be attempting to dethrone the reigning title holders, San Juan East Side Symphony, who are going for their fourth consecutive championship!

 

First up are bands affiliated to the Eastern Region. They will perform their tunes of choice on Thursday January 30 at the Arima Velodrome in Arima from 6:00 p.m. Twenty-two bands have registered.

 

The following day, Friday January 31, five Tobago bands will go through their paces at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet, Tobago. Starting time for the Tobago bands is 7:00 p.m.

 

In their quest to make it to the semi-final round, thirty-two bands in the Northern Region will compete on Saturday February 1 at The Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, from 5:00 pm.

 

Eleven bands from the South/Central Region will bring the curtain down in this category on Sunday February 2. They face adjudicators at the Pleasantville Community Centre in San Fernando, south Trinidad, from 6:00 p.m.

 

Tickets are priced at TT $60.00 and will be sold at Pan Trinbago’s Head Office, Park Street, Port of Spain, at all Regional Offices, and at the gate on the respective days of competitions.

    It is hard to learn about these bands and I would love to learn more.  THANKS
