Pan Trinbago Inc. T.C. will launch this year’s Panorama competitions on Saturday January 19, 2019, at bp Renegades Pan Theatre, Charlotte Street, Port of Spain, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

This year’s competition is in “Tribute to Our Cultural Icons” as the pan body recognizes the recently-departed Ken “Professor” Philmore, Dr. Winston Bailey aka The Mighty Shadow and Winston Scarborough also known as D’Original Defosto Himself and their contribution to the national cultural landscape.

The formal segment of the event will feature the President of the Organization, Mrs. Beverley Ramsey-Moore, who will reveal plans for this year’s event and the highly topical North Park.

Later, patrons can fete with reigning National Panorama champions, bp Renegades Steel Orchestra and Malick Folk Performers, DJ Klass is Class. Adding to the entertainment factor is surprise guest performer D’Executive Band.

While there is no admission fee, contributions/donations will be accepted.

Patrons are invited to bring their coolers, however, there will be a fully stocked bar and food at the venue. This year, Panorama’s tag line is “Catching the Rhythm …. Feeling The Spirit”.

Invitations have been issued to Minister of Community Development, Culture & The Arts, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Carnival Commission, and the Mayor of Port of Spain.

Approximately two (2) days later on Tuesday January 22 2019, the first competition, South/Central Region National Single Pan Preliminaries, will start the Panorama at the competing bands’ respective pan yards, culminating with those in the Northern Region on Tuesday 29th January, 2019.

Pan Trinbago is inviting all to come party and lime “pan style”.
