Remembering my mentor, the incomparable Neville Jules, disciplinarian, panist, tuner, band leader, arranger and great innovator. This gentleman, yes ,he was a gentleman, had a significant influence on me in the fifties during my formative years. I dedicated my third CD to him." Portraits of Martin Albino 3 " performing Barcarolle ,one of the first pieces I played with the maestro in 1958. This is the last picture I took with him before his passing. May he RIP.  -- Martin Albino

  • Mr. Albino...I remember being taught about 100 years ago, if at first u don't succeed, try and try again. |Three cheers!!! Nice pic.

  • Great pic, Martin! It must have been a pleasure to be mentored by a human being of that calibre. I do remember that arrangement of Barcarolle a la Earl Bostic - great Jouvay morning bomb. Be well!
