Bandleaders and players in NY have to deal with wondering where your yard will be from year to year, how you're going to pay for such a space without sponsorship and in such an inflated real estate market, if your practices are going to be shut down by the NYPD and how often, and harassment from neighborhood "characters". Oh, and no government check at the end of it.
This is what makes panorama in New York so unique compared to others of its kind...
