Top acts for CARIFESTA concert
Grammy Award-winning artiste Shaggy is to join Trinidad and Tobago's Alison Hinds, Machel Montano, and evergreen Calypso Rose on Saturday's Island Beats' Super Concert in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Scheduled for the city's Grand Market in Queen's Park Savannah, the concert will also feature Ricardo Drue from Antigua, as well as Caribbean Festival of the Creative Arts (CARIFESTA) brand ambassadors, Neval Chatelal, Nishard Mayrhoo and Nailah Blackman.

BEVERLEY RAMSEY-MOORE was elected as PRESIDENT OF PAN TRINBAGO in OCTOBER 2018!!!
SIX WEEKS ago the CIP (Gregory, Aquil, Dane, Mendez) had a meeting to discuss the OMISSION OF PAN from the CARIFESTA SUPER CONCERT and what action they should take.The decision was ZERO ACTION.
Then all of a sudden (mere days ago) BEVERLEY GETS A BUZZ and decides that she could get a LOT OF ATTENTION if she calls DOCTOR DOLLY on the CARPET and demands PAN IN THE SUPER CONCERT.
DOCTOR DOLLY almost went YANKEE on she: SAY WHAT? But then DOCTOR DOLLY went ULTRA LOCAL: Pan? On the [same] stage with MACHEL and SHAGGY?
After THE BEV recover from that blow -- she went MAD and decide to turn that little mole hill into a PROPAGANDA MOUNTAIN ....
So we have the BATTLE OF THE SUPER CONCERTS taking place on SATURDAY NIGHT.
But when the calendar turns to SEPTEMBER and THE BEV BROUHAHA is over -- well is time to THINK PANORAMA and PANORAMA FUNDING.
... Ah hope that the THA have plenty MONEY to give BEVERLEY ... because ME and DOCTOR DOLLY getting ready to tighten dem PANORAMA PURSE STRINGS ... and PAN PLAYERS GO SUFFER AGAIN ... through NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN!!!
...And you notice the steelbands that were in the road last Wednesday nite?...Katzenjammers (M'me president), All Stars (M'me Secretary and the ERO), Exodus (Big 5?) and a fancy sailor band, peltin' powder fuh spite, led by Keith Simpson (Trustee). Reigning Single pan champs San Juan Eastside, (Vice President) were in Woodford Square along with Despers (Big somewhere between 3 and 5)...So you see, Bands close to Pantrinbago Executives represented ALL T&T Steelbands on that night. Given the meaning of Carifesta, where Pan is concerned I thought the National Steel Symphony may have gotten a bligh...But no...
According the Mighty Terror...The Heroes are "Desperadoes...All Stars...(no Tokyo)...No South Symphony, Renegades yes and the Guyana band for company. No Pan Am North Stars...and Exodus was the band from Tunapuna"...Well even if a didn't know before, these really seem to be the great wonders of the World...
Check the "Gangsta Chronicles of Pan" as written by Rolly Polly and D'Photo... Nothing new except Aquil's participation in the Carifesta is now suspect.

THE BIG 5 went ALL IN and TAPPED OUT many moons ago.
But I would like to see PAN TRINBAGO step up and put on a real LAVISH PAN CONCERT

"Both Shaggy and Montano were booked from as early as January as headliners for the show."....Let that sink in...Then go and support the "Revenge Concert"...If you will...
Merrytones this is indeed a "Revenge Concert" -- HOWEVER, it looks like the Bev will win the battle even if they lose the war. After-all Doc Dolly still controls the purse. And Pan Trinbago is still broke.
