Steel Magic Northwest to play from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Steel Magic Northwest will perform from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 18 at Kent Station, 417 Ramsay Way.

Executive and artistic director, Gary Gibson said Steel Magic Northwest, Kent’s nonprofit after-school steel band program, will present their “Here Comes the Sun” themed spring repertoire in a fun, informal concert.

Three youth bands, which range in size from 15 to 33 players, including their elite advanced group, the Pan Wizards Steel Orchestra, will perform. It will be the first live, in-person performances by the bands since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
