Zimbabwe - Caribbean Islanders, Trinidad and Tobago scored big at the recently held Harare International Carnival Street Party when they won two prestigious awards on Saturday night after the street parade.During a prize giving ceremony in the Africa Unity Square the country's Exodus Orchestra Steel Band was awarded the best overall act and best International act at the second edition of the carnival.

In the international category, the group emerged the best, beating Brazil's Momo King and Italy's Storci Sbandriratori delle Contrade di Cori.

While accepting the awards, the Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism in Trinidad and Tobago, Douglas Lincoln, applauded the country for successfully pulling off an event of such great magnitude.
