  • Kelvin Scoon , we don't need any research to tell us why. Many of us know why , and what can be done .

A few days ago , Ruthven A Davis wrote a post called "A Time for Change" where he broke down what happened , why it happened and what can be done.

Some of the things he said is what I've been saying for years , and he even added stuff I hadn't fully explored.

You should check out his post.

  • Rubadiri,

This can only happen when and if we are able to determine WHY, there are no followers and pushers and chippers, except in a few bands. Why have these bands survived and THRIVED. Serious research is needed, not uninformed opinions, or 'mother-in-law' research as we used to call it in the advertising business. One suggestion for Pan Trinbago. Devote a few dollars from the $25 Mill. to scientific research; present and discuss the results at the world Steelband festival.

And if the experts tell you it is too late, then commission 2 or 3 of them to present papers on how they propose to carry out such a research project.

PanTrinbago knows that we have the people who could do this type of research in T&T.
