Pan Alive may well be alive this year but it could be wounded due to a dispute between the leaders of the two largest steel bands and Ontario Steelpan Association (OSA) over funding.

Im doing some research on female steelbands and am having some difficulty finding information on In Focus of which Allison Dyer was the leader.
Any thing would be helpful

Information needed on this band. I believe they were from San Juan and that Earl Brooks played with them when he was about 7 years old. I can't find anything on this band at all....
Any info would be fantastic.

Jerry what's the results of Pan Alive 20116?
JERRY; my "Gist or Main point is", they're not suppose too, even if they play the same "Test Piece" in a Music Festival, only the actual "Melody" is suppose to be simular if not identical, and a Test Piece is to show the ability of the arranger and ensemble...
And Jerry; I almost forgot, in reference to your April 19th post, Berite Marshall invention of the amplified pan, he was not the first, the first was Herbert Simpson with "Tripoli" steel band from St James 1957, and Dave Le Barry with "Nutrien Playboys" Port of Spain 1961...
There U go JERRY, a Steel Pan Ministry WOULD DO THE TRICK...
