Hi Jim, check the Steelbands link at the top, to see how far and wide our national instrument has travelled in less than 100 years, Trinidad is one of the few countries in the world with a unique national instrument. Its still very young in terms of the history of instruments, however, it is now being made a full member of the family of musical instruments as is embraces other societies and cultures. Yes, Pan for the People!
