Quote on change
"To-day is not yesterday: we ourselves change; how can our Works and Thoughts, if they are always to be the fittest, continue always the same? Change, indeed, is painful; yet ever needful; and if Memory have its force and worth, so also has Hope." —Thomas Carlyle on Change

Pay It Forward

In the movie “Pay it Forward” we  watched a young man take an assignment from his civics/social studies teacher and take it to heart to try to make the world a better place by doing “something really big for someone who needs the help but can’t do it by themselves.”

Goal/objective of lesson:  To take the Leadership philosophy and apply it to the real world and  demonstrate  if one person’s efforts can make a change in the lives and worlds of others. This establishes how our individual caring and attempts at making a difference can change the world around us.

Rationale: Helping others who can’t help themselves is the right thing to do.  If you begin to practice the art of “doing the right thing when no-one else is watching” you are on your way to becoming a better you.  Keep practicing being a better you! Share with others!
