Leon attended the Ontario College of Art in 1979 and graduated in 1981 with an Associate Degree in Communication & Design/Corporate Design, (AOCA). on January 16, 1998, Leon received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Liberal Arts from the Regents College, (The University of the State of New York) in Albany, New York. On May 14, 2005, Leon graduated from Lamar University, in Beaumont, Texas with a Master of Arts, in Visual Arts. Leon achieved his accomplishments while maintaining family and work commitments as a Teacher/Instructor at the Art
Institute of Houston, in the Advertisement/Graphic Design Department for Twenty Two years. Leon continued his teaching at Westwood College of Technology from 2004-2009 and part-time at the American Inter-Continental University as an Adjunct Instructor. Leon continued teaching Computer Digital Art and Photography at Pro-Vision Academy while completing another educational program, ACT-Houston (Alternative Certification for Teachers) until his Retirement in 2016. Leon is a Professional Photographer who owns "EZEEPHOTOS" and works as a Freelance photographer on diverse photographic assignments.
Leon has always been actively involved in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Association of Texas, (Non-Profit Organization with a 501C3 Status). He served as the President, Vice-President, and Public Relations Director over the many years of his involvement and commitment. With his Master's Degree, in the highly competitive field of Advertising and Graphic Designing, After retirement in 2016 Leon continued working as a Freelance Photographer and Digital Artist. With an Entrepreneurial idea in mind, Leon went on to Launch his Self-Owned Company SimPanology Ltd. in 2005.
Always Intrigued and Fascinated by the Mystical and Musical Sound of the Steel-Pan Music, Leon then ventured into putting his Artistic Ability into Action by Creating and Coining the Word “PANOLOGY” which exemplifies the Revolutionary Birth and Technological Growth of the Steel-Pan. The Publication of this Book Entitled PANOLOGY will consist of Digitally Manipulated Photographs in Collages depicting the Birth and Growth of our now Worldly recognized Steel-Pan as the Only Acoustical Musical Instrument Invented in the 20th Century. Accompanying and Enhancing this Publication will be a Series of Poems written by the Renowned known Trinidadian Poet and Play-Writer Dr. Kenneth G. Belle, as he delved into the most in-depth connotations of the Birth, Growth and Life of the Steel-Pan Inventors, Steel-Pan Makers, Steel-Pan Tuners, Steel-Pan Musical Arrangers and Steel-Pan Players, better known as “Pannists”.
It is the Desired Concept, Creative writing and Publication of this Book that will serve as a Historical marking and Memorable recording of our Steel-Pan History.

Leon Simeon visited Trinidad on July 21, 2014 for a 21 day stay, during which time he staged his first official Art Exhibition. Arrangements were made to exhibit at the "NALIS" building in Port-of-Spain. At the Exhibition Leon had the priviledge of displaying 15 pieces of his work, all of which were for sale.
