this is my final word. I wont dialog on this.any further because its a waste of my time talent and expertise.  Starlift has trained more players than all the steelbands in SVG added together. Several bands have sprung from Mother Starlift. Even Sion Hill were given free panorama arrangements back inthe day several years, and loaned pans to use at the panorama by Starlift. Up to this point Starlift is the maqjor pan institution on SVG (others are coming along I agree) I have no "hate" for steelbands I do expect when they play in public that they can handle their INSTRUMENTS.  The SCHOOL bands were and are simply awful. What steelband movement is on the rise in SVG?? where ?? Sion Hill, Raddimix, Potential and Stubbs have made progress. The others??? Do you UNDERSTAND  what music is??    paddy corea/demon fuzz.  AMEN.

Let me go further on this   The school bands this year were a total let down AWFUL. THEY CANT PLAY  They are NOT ready for the big yard. Leave them in the school yard. I said all that on Randy's show the week after carnival. To play ANY instrument FIRST you have to learn the instrument (conquor the physicallity of the instrument). Thats why piano players go thru such rigourous lessons and exercises. I did as a young panist.

quote me correctly when u quote me.  I said this is  the band to beat. Since youre in Kingstown dont you know that?? There is talk of banning us(politely) from the competition (to give the other bands a chance to arrive at our standards Obviously they will pay us the equivalent of prize money for a guest appearance. Currently Calliaqua Potential is the only other band who could handle their instruments. Being a panist is diff to learning a tune for panorama thats why bands have stage sides. If you need my credentials ask ANY panists or musicians who I am or better still Google my name (& Demon Fuzz) ciao Paddy Corea
