KJ; that's good to know that Eman Thorpe passed on some of his gifted talent to someone else, he was a great soloist / player where he placed second to Nerlin Tate, in the 1956 Music Festival at the "ROXY THEATER", he also was an exceptional arranger as well with "CROSS FIRE" a song called "ANOTHER NIGHT LIKE THIS", as a matter of fact, It was Eman who encourage "Len (boogsie) Sharpe" as a 5year old to keep playing the bass pans, when "Cross Fire" was in their yard on "Benarie Street", and if U listen carefully, you'll find that "Phase II sounds a lot like "Cross Fire and Symphonettes, especially Symphonettes who once played "Doris Day's Once I had a Secret Love", I do hope that U R still playing the pans, so U can pass on some of Eman's talent...

JOHNSON my Good man, the Bonapart Brothers went abroad after the TASPO in 1951, the doubles was created in 1950 before, and was utilized in TASPO, I also knew the younger brother " Ken Bonapart", who was the first "Black" Mayor of "Boston" Mass when I lived there in 1972, where " he / Ken Bonapart", started the first Boston Carnival and Panorama, as "Panam North Stars Phase 2" won with " the Mighty Sparrow's Marijuana", Boston Silver Stars 2nd, and Mass Ave Steelband 3rd, I'm not trying to put U or any one else down, but I have this problem about the FACTS or telling the TRUTH ok, there's so much erronous stories, and deliberate lies about this "INSTRUMENT" of our's out there, theTRUTH need's to be told, no offence mean't, and none intended...
