NOSTALGIA PAN ROUND NECK PEOPLE & SUPPORTERS

This week, we are practising on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday

at Maxilla Social Club.

On Saturday 28th August (Panorama Day) -
We are practising at Maxilla from 12 noon to 4pm.

It will be the last practise and everyone needs to be there.

Petit Bourge History

A little piece of interesting information provided by Gary Chang Leung, also an original member of Pan Necktar:-



SUNDOWN - was the first steelband using the discarded oil drums. This band was former by Gary Chang Leung, Joseph 'Mauby', Edmund Moore and Victor Toussaint. This band really took off then the William's brothers , Roy & Noel, came to live in the Petit Bourge area. it was the first band from the San Juan area to compete in the music festival at the Roxy Theatre. Desmond Bowen

The family of Desmond Bowen would like to EXPRESS THEIR HEART FELT THANKS… for all the support and words of encouragement, as well as, the donation to St. John’s Hospice-MacMillan Nurses of £233.51. His presence will be greatly missed by all who had the honour of knowing him.

'I made my first recording in 53, or 54 for Melodic records ( pingpong Samba, pingpong Lullaby etc). I don't know of any earlier recordings! If you find out please let me know.'
