  • Please Play some kitcheners music. This year not only mark the begining of a new decade but is also the eleventh year since our beloved Composer, Calypsonian and national icon lord kitchener passed on. Lets the music he composed and played on the steelpan Instrument be played for the world to hear, let his great musical works not be in vain. As a tribute please Steelpan players dedicated Black History Month to Kitch.

  • OUR CHILDREN MUST KNOW WHO KITCHENER WAS AND WHAT HE DID FOR STEEL PAN MUSIC.

  • The best ,hands down ; just another fact ,i had the pleasure of recording with him at Semp studio ,when he did that album called " KITCH GONE SOCA",way back when
  • One of the best composers of pan tunes .I don't think there is anyone like him, they may try but The Grandmaster was the best.
  • i personally met kitch when i was about 12years old at my home in Arima when my mother ( Elma Reyes) was doing a story on him for the news papers back then. and i must say that was the moment i knew i was going to learn the art of composing and constructing music- melodies, writing lyric the way he did with stories that was so clear and musically understanding, his flow is what i try to do today everytime i put a song together . that indirect meeting, because he was there to talk to my mother but i was right there listening to everything, everything because that was  " Aldwin Roberts the Lord Kitchner...i didn't miss a moment..

i could never be like him but if i could have  1% of his talent i would be greatful.

  •   Aldwin Roberts, known in the calypso world as Kitchener was a musical genius. The idea of remembering him is an excellent one. Some folks may prefer his birthday, some may prefer this day. He was a prolific composer not only of steelband music, but he churned out music annually. We should remember him by paying tribute to him on some day. That is the least we can do for this remarkable icon.
  • the greatest composer of songs for the steel pan instrument...
