I met Orthello and Leroy the tuner in Fort Lauderdale in the middle 80; at that time Orthello was playing every weekend at a Jazz club on Sunrise Blvd Ft Lauderdale; and the club was always packed with Jazz lovers; he also played the piano; he is a musical jenius here at that time; I never really heard his name mentioned or associated with any of the local bands in Trinidad but I know he is one of the greatest I have ever heard on a tenor.
I am happy to see many Panorama Festivals through out the world displaying steel band music. I feel left out here in Australia missing these festivals as there are no medium size steel bands to create this atmosphere in Australia. What we have is mostly two tenor pans and a double second and the old time Dup-doup. or tenor pan and double back with keyboards and guitar bass.
I would some bands to come to Australia for our entertainment.
Hi pan friends. Writing from Tobago. Don't know if I am in the right forum. But I was in a conversation with some panfriends a few days ago. The name of a band came up. Swan Stars can someone shed some light on that band please.

Just woke up this morning and got the good news! I'm already listening to your show. By the way: Today we are celebrating another Caribbean Night here in Germany. The bands playing will be: Nostalgia, Panash, Bäng Bäng and PanGanG.
