Pan Times: Ellie Mannette SAID on National TV in T&T that HE, started "Oval Boy's in 1938 when HE DID NOT which is a BIG LIE, pan was just coming out of it's dust bin phase, where Carlton "sonny" Roach had just put note's on his 1st "KLIM MILK CAN", where Oval Boy's did not really start untill 1944 evolving from "Green Eye's" another band in the Woodbrook area, while WORLD WAR II was in PROGRESS, by Ellie's older brother Milton "ossie" Mannette, his nephew Herman Gomez, and Francis Wickham, there's photo's of Ellie playing a " dud up " in 1944 with Wickham, and one where he's shaking a "shack shack", in 1947 while in Oval Boy's with Gomez, Dove, and Wickham playing ping pong/ tenor, Invaders got their name "Night Invaders" after the war ended in May of 1945, and later changed it to Invaders, and Vernon "birdie" Mannette was tuning BEFORE Ellie where Ellie never started tuning untill 1948/49, how could Invaders be celebrating their 75th Anniversary, isn't it a bit premature???

Pan Times, please pass this on to Ms. La Rose,

Ms. Miranda La Rose; Hameed Shaqq, DO NOT KNOW WHAT HE"S TALKING ABOUT, because "PYTHAGORAS" DID NOT create/invented the Cycle of Fifths, ANTHONY WILLIAMS DID in 1949/50, he Pythagoras in 500 B.C. derived/create the MATHEMICAL THEOREM, or NUMERICAL EQUATIONS which WILLIAMS used to derive the cycle of 4ths & 5ths, by the GYRATING or MOVEMENT of the "PLANETS", Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn and Uranus, Neptune and Pluto was discovered much much later after "Pythagoras" was murdered, as a student of Williams, I'm the only one he entrusted with his"DOSSIER of SCHEMATICS" et al, ect ect ect... there were other who had the opportunity to create/derive from the theorem, Nicolaus Copenicus in 1515 and Tycho Brahe in 1590, but it was only Johannes Kepler a German astronomer in 1615, where he derived the five lines and four spaces, on manuscript using "Pythagoras" first seven (7) planets and the other two (2) later discovered planets, never the less but nice try Mr. SHAQQ, the next time PLEASE get all your fact correct,

I wasn't there but I could tell from the way pan music has strayed from its cultural design to this jazzed up array of unflavored batter that has little or nothing to do with pan and the people of pan. There is really no creativity. Just a lot of skills. SHOW OFFS. There is in every real trini- A feel of excitement and a belonging- that is the reason for arrangers like Bradley and Jit to be always remembered. And for pan yards to be crowded at practice sessions leading up to ...panorama. Because you can flip several notes at the speed of light doesn't make you a pan arranger. First you have to be a musician and a Trinidadian. You must be able to feel the excitement and understand the people and the country where pan is prayers. Now its all money and no pan on the streets. Have you ever heard a complete steel band on the streets of Port Of Spain.? No? Then you have never heard steel band music. Bertie Marshall's introduction of a band on the streets -all instruments hooked up to electronics. Never again attempted. We have lost so much- hosting this new jazzed up image- that we cant see that no one really wants to hear a song that they don't fully understand. Still pan music is not readily accepted because it is not vigorously promoted and marketed and creativity is low. We have to get back to our culture and give the world a taste of Trini flavor. Get the people involved. The money will come;
