Pixie that's you on Tenor to the Front Right. On your right is Mervyn, Monty , "Tin Cups" Steve Ramsden, Keith Reece, Steve "Carter K.,"Mugs" and Lynch. Total of 8 Tenor Players. Lovely days .
I am not sure if I am there: is this the 1966 Music festival semi finals at Queen's hall? I think I recognize among the tenors (going from left to right) Lynch, Mugs, Carter, Steve Reece,'Tin Cup' Ramsden, Unknown 1, Unknown 2 (Pixie?), Mervyn.
Thank you Steve K. for posting this picture. It sure brings back old memories. When I left Trinidad in 1968, I left most everything behind with my Mother and years later when I returned for a visit, I could not find anything.
I think that I can see you 3rd from left in the front and I am dead center in the back. Back in those days when we had two girls in our band, I felt that one day there would be many more playing but i did not think that they would almost out number guys in the bands. Good for them.
Steve Regis
ok i was watching another clip of the band with two women playing
thanks
Colin . This photo has only one Female Player and that is Heloise . The Location is Naparima Bowl during the Quarter Finals of the Pan Festival 1966 .
Hi can u tell us who the other female player is and where is this location
Pixie you are in this Pic . Check it out .
Heloise "Ray" Steele is at left ( with back to Camera ) playing the Guitar Pans ( Grundigs ) . I believe that she was the first Female Band Member registered with the Steel Band Association of Trinidad and Tobago . Mr George Goddard was the President of the Association then .
